And then they wonder why people are leaving their religion in droves. Oh, and these bastards get to keep their tax-exempt status while dipping their noses into politics. Nice.

U.S. Catholic Bishops OK Steps Toward Possible Rebuke of Biden

U.S. Catholic bishops overwhelmingly approved the drafting of a “teaching document” that many of them hope will rebuke Catholic politicians, including President Joe Biden, for receiving Communion despite their support for abortion rights.

The thing that we should pay attention to is simply the fact that under IRS rules under non-profits no group should advocate in word or action a stand on a specific political issue or person. They could lose their tax exempt status. Of course the POS tRump and his enablers ignored this ruling but we need to push this. Watch the religious zealots scream if they have to pay for their mid-deeds as they should under the law.
At one time I got into a written debate with the then archbishop of Seattle. I pushed this issue but he ignored it. I had hoped if I were 'pagan' enough it would get me a, excommunication but no luck.

As a kind of side note here, since there IS absolutely NO mention of Abortion/Termination of Pregnancy/Pregnancies in the Goat-Herders Guide to the Galaxy and Everything, then WHY are these self-proclaimed mouth-pieces of this Imaginary Sky Daddy and his equally imaginary son, Jesus, so up in arms about it anyway.
Technically, ANYONE who has a Termination of a Pregnancy is NOT breaking the Imaginary Laws of the Imaginary God because neither the Laws nor God actually exist.

Communion. You mean transubstantiation, where the cracker turns into the body of Jesus. Where are the catholic Bishops with a brain drafting a teaching document on the insane mythology of their religion. So if transubstantiation is true, that makes communion takers cannibals. Went to church today. Don't need lunch. Had some Jesus today. Not hungry.

Don't really give a flying rat's ass what the rcc thinks about Biden or anything else.
Bishops, fishops.
They are irrelevant.

TBH, I'm unsure why anyone who approves of choice and gay rights would want to be in that Church. It's got to be from sheer force of parental indoctrination. I knew an ex-Priest, who left the Priesthood after falling in love with (and marrying) a Nun, and he said leaving was a great thing for him. I think The Church has every right to rebuke them for not following dogmatic order (deliverance from sin) and it should serve to make the rest leave. They want life both ways and that keeps this so-called Church powerful. Leave and maybe it falls.

The God Mob is again trying to shove its malevolent beliefs and values of everybody else. I am sick and tired of those evil little shits.
