I am seeing an increasing number of people interfering with aircraft flights. A recent example is [bbc.com] . What might be causing this sort of behaviour, and what can be done to control it?
I think a pretty clear explanation is 30% of the U.s. thinks they can do whatever they want, be racist, kill people etc because of their supreme leaders loss and while he was in power. This of course includes being disruptive on airplanes where they want to push their agenda and be anti-authority. The solution is more Air Marshals. If people knew they could be arrested instantly they might stop, instead of thinking they only have to deal with ineffective and powerless flight attendants. A permanent flying ban for anyone causing a disturbance would also act as a deterrent I would think.
Political rage over pandemic mask restrictions
I think the recent increase is directly attributable to that. I was on a plane back in '02 when some guy went nuts, so this behavior has been going on for years. It was not that long after 9/11, I was in cheap seat in the back. Passengers ganged up on this guy, flight crew had to keep them guys from killing him. He was a bloody mess. I'll never forget it.
