I come from a sailing family and also worked at a place that made sails. I don't remember anyone wearing gloves while sailing.
Google came up with some options.

This might be a little lame, i by no means am an expert and my Dad and I are still learning. I am simply looking for a pair of Gloves....ones to wear so handling the lines don't tear my hands up. that's all.
