The Bishop who lead to effort to ban President Biden from taking communion, because of Biden's stance on abortion, just resigned after it was discovered he was on Grindr picking up men for sex. Oh the hypocrisy.

Maybe instead of the Holy Roman Church it should be the Crooked Catholic church. When will people learn. Too many still cling to this religion and deny all the crimes.

I think we should just call it a sex cult and be done with it. Like not just to rip me to kill them but local governments should have dedicated contracts, regulations and stipulations for sexual activities of their cult-like nature.

Requiring members of clergy to carry condoms at all times... Publicly listing their status for sexual infections and diseases via mandatory blood tests every two or three weeks... similar to what the pornography industry uses for it's actors and actresses.
Lastly, public disclosure of non-work related relationships.

I totally think it would be reasonable to require a diocese to agree to such terms in order to receive tax exemptions.

Ah yes Catholics. Casting stones in class houses since the birth of their fictional savior.

Hi there. That's terrible and I agree about hypocrisy. But then, could it be just a trend at the moment that Bishops are being targeted (by media) for their wrongdoing? Who is going to be the next target? Teachers, police officers, doctors, nurses, social workers, firefighters... most of whom are good people?

Any person who puts themselves into the public eyes is open for investigation. He was very open and very public with his anti abortion stands and desire to see political people banned from communion.
Also, as a Bishop, he had a higher standing in the church, thus, again more public scrutiny.

That literally may be the most absolute hogwash I've ever seen in a comment. Do better.

@Beowulfsfriend I don't doubt about Burrill's wrong doing; it was revealed and he suffered the consequence for it - good. Meanwhile, Daily Mail is often called Daily Fail. It is a British reactionary tabloid. They are good at shaping public opinion so manipulatively that if, say, a police officer raped and killed a young woman, their readers would go thinking that all police officers cannot be trusted. That's what Daily Mail does best. Hence me being cynical thinking "They've recently done police officer, now priest, who's next?"

@Ryo1 It was published in a lot of places. That feed can be accessed by all; not everyone can get the post or the times.

I'm so sick of these fucking hypocritical assholes.

You and me too.

LMAO! Doesn't surprise me he was picking up on men for sex. I wouldn't doubt he raped little boys as a priest.

Sadly, you are probably correct on the kids.
