Cuomo violated federal, state laws as he sexually harassed multiple women, NY attorney general says.

[cnbc.com]harassment-report.html

This is such a shame. Not only for the women who endured sexual harassment (or whatever) in their workplace, which is wrong, wrong, wrong! But also for Cuomo himself. Picture a man in a high-pressure, 24 hours/day job who also has a strong libido and no outlet available. Very few people seem to understand that problem, and even fewer are willing to speak out about it.

Bullshit! He's a dirty old man!

Yup, sure enough. For most of my adult life I probably was too, but I never crossed that line. There were times when the temptation nearly killed me (or I thought it would), but I never made any overt moves in the workplace. It just ain't right. And that's especially true after I became a manager and later a business owner.

@mischl You weren't the governor of NY State either. Times have changed as well.

@barjoe I don't catch your meaning here...

@mischl You're not a public figure and things people could get away with in the past they no longer could today.

I do not think it is that we don’t understand the PROBLEM. What we don’t understand is the lack of self control and the demeaning behavior. MANY man in positions of power have felt it their PRIVILEGE to behave this way. THIS is why some brave Hollywood actresses started #MeToo activism. Women have ALWAYS been treated as “less than” by the MAJORITY (not all) of men. We have finally gotten to a place where we have the right to call men on this shit. If a man has a “strong libido”, there are women who have chosen a career to satisfy them. I believe this career should be legal everywhere. But I also believe men need to learn that ALL women are not “fair game”. What did you mean by “this is a shame”.

It's both a shame for the women who were abused by his inappropriate search for sex. And it's a shame that he ruined his career by his lack of self-control. And yes, it would be nice if there were indeed "women who have chosen this career to satisfy them," but the chief problem is that's also against the law, which means he would have committed a different crime.

@mischl prostitution is a thriving industry, on a multitude of price points. It doesn’t matter that it is illegal. It is illegal to have sex with a woman without her consent, and that doesn’t stop it from happening. I have ZERO sympathy for men who use their position of power to take advantage of women who are afraid to lose their jobs.

@MsKathleen I wholeheartedly agree with "I have ZERO sympathy for men who use their position of power to take advantage of women..." Like some of my prison clients have told me, "You do de crime, you do de time." HOWEVER, I don't agree with "doesn't matter if [prostitution] is illegal." That matters a LOT. It's my perception from decades of listening that many men who go over the line in one way or another, wouldn't have done it if sex for pay had been available. Oh sure, there might be some real bad-news, addict badly needing a fix, out on the street sex available, but I AIN'T going there, and a LOT of other men aren't either.

"No outlet available"? People are not "outlets" for use by others. People are responsible for handling and controlling their own desires. Opinions and language like yours contribute to the problems of sexual harassment and sexual assault.

Okay, call me part of the problem if you want to. But I'm very fortunate that I NEVER crossed that line. Although Gawd only knows how I managed. I guess I was just raised better. And had better mentoring. The rest of your comments don't deserve an answer.

@mischl Only a misogynist would refer to people as sexual "outlets". You're not fooling anyone.

@LovinLarge That's a bit strange. And narrow minded. I've talked to plenty of women who spoke of needing an outlet. And so now, you've labeled me as a woman hater.
