Saw it. 5/10.
Hackneyed, trite, overwrought, empty and surprisingly dull for how flashy it was.
If you like looking for easter eggs, it's fun, but for having one of the greatest 80's icons involved with a nostalgia piece about the 80s, it really fell flat.

I think you need to read the book. It was better than the movie.

@CandyWorner after seeing the movie, I’ve unfortunately no interest in the book.
I saw it a few weeks ago. It was fun popcorn movie worth my time & money.
