Any suggestions on locating meetings of people like ourselves, thought I would ask before googling it or something-shame on me

There is always Starbucks, but you might have to fight off the Bible study and prayer groups...hee hee

slim pickings in my area. The meetup group is nearly all retired elderly academics with PHD's who are good people but I'm 55
