Had an idea and looked up some hospital scenes. A woman therapist told me her daughter-in-law is a nurse at Seattle’s largest hospital, Harborview, and they have to roll people over to intubate them. They complain how uncomfortable this is but it’s necessary so tough shit. This is from a hospital in California. ”Coronavirus cases in California are surging to record highs and hospitals are overrun. At St. Mary Medical Center, a hospital in the desert town of Apple Valley, the ICU has burst its capacity. Patients undergo triage in a parking lot tent and the hospital’s lobbies and hallways have become makeshift covid wards. Exhausted staff fear the worst is still to come.”
Here in eastern wa they are going ahead with the Ellensburg Rodeo and Fair. Yakima will have it's county fair in September also. The local health dept. doc voiced the possibility of canceling the rodeo and fair again this year and he received death threats, serious enough he asked for extra police patrols at his home. Now that's some fucked up shit. The hospitals over here are near capacity.
Seems we are entering a period of pure madness. Perhaps we will need a vaccine to protect us from catching this mad virus.
