I can't say I know that much about her domestic policies, but from a distance, she seemed to have conducted herself with class and respectability. Nothing bad that I recall (except for only slowly decriminalizing cannabis and not allowing Germans to grow it.).

She badly stumbled with the EU in a way that makes me wonder if she was not accepting a greater role for Germany as a world leader. I wonder if she felt that we would get back up and do that so Germany declined the moment? If so that was a smart decision. If not then she failed with EU leadership.

@rainmanjr I also gather that she made some pipeline deals with Putin that are problematic. Allowing Russia to have leverage on a Europe that may well slip into severe winters is an invitation to surrender.

@racocn8 the pipeline is very problematic. Germany is also forging ahead with wind and solar faster than most other countries so maybe people won't have as strong a stranglehold as he is planning.

@Lorajay ...and also that mobius strip styled tokamak fusion. Version 2 is underway ...
