I think I see a "meme organism " here, so I am not trying to do any ad hominem but address the meme of thought behind the statement.

More taxes to the "rich ones" does nothing specific for the poor ones. The purpose of taxation is for funding government which does appropriate some funds for the poor. However, the role of government as it is established, is not established for purposes of raising the poor out of poverty. It is established for capitalism slavery so that rich can capitalize on paying the minimum amount for labor to have the largest profit margin as possible.

I checked into a homeless shelter once. Upon checking in the staff person wanted some intake information from me. I seemed to confuse the man one one of tne questions he asked. He asked me "why are you homeless "? My reply was the obvious, "I do not own or have a home".

People are poor because they do not have money. The only way to eliminate poorness is to make sure everyone is rich. So long as the current rich and powerful have their way, nothing will ever be done to provide that everyone on Earth has a bank account of virtually a million billion trillion unlimited dollars, to make sure money, or lack there of, is not a way to enslave, impoverish or keep some poor.

Indeed! But this has unfortunately long been the case. Ever been to Rome? Just walk this ancient city with four churches on every block, all gilded with gold leaf and priceless works of art and statuary, and consider how much wealth was transferred from the peasantry and penitent! One wonders why anyone ever thought it a good thing to give religions a tax break!

Our Democratic representatives in the US Congress and State houses will do mothing about it.
