TRUE NORTH: A-ha announce new exciting live album, film and tour for Autumn 2022.
On Monday all fans of Rock/pop band a-ha were delighted to hear the news of this new project by the band. Now we can look forward to next year…and not only to the resumption in January of their interrupted world tour from 2020, and the worldwide distribution of the documentary film “a-ha The Movie” which premiered earlier this year to great reviews at TriBeCa Film Festival in New York…but to this exciting news too.
These Norwegian guys, Morten, Magne & Pal, next year also celebrate the 40th anniversary of their formation and move to London in 1982 to try to launch themselves into the music business. They succeeded spectacularly three years later when their debut record Take On Me took the world by storm, launching their enduring 4 decade music career with one of the most innovative videos ever made. They are as usual at the forefront of innovation and leadership today, not only with their music , but on humanitarian and ecological issues too, even as they are all now entering their 60s.
Intriguing. "Take On Me" was topping charts just as I was an exchange student for 12 months in Germany. So the video is plastered into memory banks in that context. Back then I was still too terrified by my own queerness to admit I had a crush on Morten, lol!
The old guy is still a hottie. Yay, old guys!
Morten is definitely still a hottie…both men and women have always found him attractive, even beautiful. Even heterosexual men can recognise a classically beautiful guy when they see one. Not just that though…he is a genuinely beautiful human being, a humanitarian who is thoughtful and kind and who goes out of his way to be available to his fans for autographs and photographs. All the a-ha guys are thoughtful, kind, and very polite, not at all like the usual celebrity egos we’re used to in the rock/pop business.
@Marionville Scandinavian elvin features. Norway seems to have quite the cultural heritage of humanitarian leadership, too.
Wooo hooo, happy days!! Can’t wait for the release.
Me too.
I know this news makes you happy.
Oh yes…it sure does!
