Just four days on and 1 one my Tulips is now fully opened, the second is not far behind it but number 3 is dragging the chain a bit.
Add to their colourful display with my pig-face blooming everywhere and anywhere it get to and things are looking quite colourful.

What is "Pig Face"? Pic please?

Pig-face, picture #1 top left, and here was me thinking you were the Horticultural Genius around here.
Oh, and fyi there a number of different species known as Pig-face, most are indigenous to South Africa, there are only 6 that are Indigenous to Australia though.

@Triphid I might know something about plants I can grow here, but do have curiosity about stuff that wouldn't have a prayer here, or become rampant.

@AnneWimsey Well Pig-face would be a no go for you then since it can spread like poop in a toddler's nappy and I MEAN spread.

@Triphid introducing invasives is both a State & Federal crime, as well it should be.

@AnneWimsey The species I have growing is an Indigenous Australian variety, one of the 6 indigenous to Australia.

@Triphid that's why it does so well, like, i dunno, tulips originating in a very cold climate & therefore being well-adapted to them? Just sayin'......

Thank you, I think so too.

@Triphid No doubt.

@Lilac-JadeCanada Seriously thinking about 'splurging out' before next winter and buying more Tulip Bulbs.
Plus more of my personal favourites, the Freesias as well.

@Triphid Sounds good. Petunias, pansies, peonies, & marigolds do really well here.

@Lilac-JadeCanada I love the aroma of Freesias, so sweet and relaxing.

@Triphid Yes, fragrances are a big part of the beauty. I love lilacs, & this whole town has them everywhere, so going along any street in spring is such a treat.
