However well intentioned U.S. aid was, it had the ironic effect of contributing to instability in Afghanistan's institutions and fueling corruption.
Govt money has a way of doing that. It happened with our COVID relief efforts as well. This is one reason old-timey con's did not favor govt programs. You don't think the wealthy get all of that money just from product profit. Do you?
