Turkey's Erdogan threatens to expel 10 ambassadors, including the US. I have said for years, get our nucs out of that shared Turkish airbase. Erdogan has destroyed the remnants of a once mediocre democracy.

It's not nukes. Kennedy solved The Cuban Missile Crises by quietly agreeing to get those out. Reagan then installed an Array in Turkey which can stop a nuke and monitor Iran. That is hurtful to Russia's defense in exactly the same way Star Wars nullified Russian defenses and dictated that it was in their interest to strike before that system could be installed. The Array is not of that nullification so gets diplomatic concern but it is a concern for them.

@Beowulfsfriend Yes. Not d$A but we have been, and arguably still are, the leadership of NATO. I get that but it's on such distinctions that diplomacy walks.
