What is a swear word but something we have all agreed is off-limits with no reason other than to establish boundaries for behavior and then demonstrate our compliance or lack thereof? It's not true that there is nothing good or bad but thinking makes it so...except in the case of swear words. Then that is exactly the case. I am really fascinated by the fact that we create some things--in this case, words--with the express purpose of forbidding their use.
