As Carl Sagan used to say, the ancients used to worship the Sun, and they were far from foolish. At least it exists, and if it blows up, we've got about 90 minutes to kiss our asses goodbye.

And the giver of heatstroke and sunburn and desertification and Carrington events and skin cancers and changes in sea level and neutrinos. 😉

Everything has its own down-sides unfortunately.
