Yes, thanks to the unvaccinated, who have ignited yet another wholly-preventable spike in Covid hospitalizations and deaths, which is poised to push our health care system over the cliff into predictable free fall. It's rich that your crowd has caused this latest crisis, then blame Biden for it.

The vaccinated can still get and spread Covid ya know. The CDC is currently recommending that no one go on a cruise ship regardless of vaccination status because a shipping with 100% vaccinated people had a Covid outbreak.
So how is it the unvaccinated doing all of the harm???

@CourtJester Like the rest of you, and I've gone around the block with all of you several times over, you don't bother to look into the details; such as in the cases of Gibraltar, Israel, etc.
You have me curious, so I WILL Google it, just like you COULD do if you'd get your head out of anti-vaxxer echo chamber and get some real, valid information. I'm sure you watch only Fox News and/or other extreme right-wing news channels, blogs, and so on.
So I'm not going to do that for you; what's the point? You don't listen.
The death toll in the U.S. ALONE will exceed one million someday soon, these days almost all of those deaths among the unvaccinated, and our health care system in near collapse, and all your alternative "cures" have been proven ineffective, and STILL you insist on your unsupported claims, and for what reason?; Anything legitimate? No.
So stop blaming Biden when it's YOU to blame, not him, or Fauci, or anybody else. It's absolutely unbelievable.

@Storm1752 I don’t want Fox News. I listen to Talk 99.5 out of Birmingham. I don’t have time for TV.
Biden has had more deaths with a vaccine than Trump had without one after him and his VP ensured everyone that they would eradicate it.

@CourtJester Yes, but it's YOUR fault.
Biden and the entire federal government has been BEGGING the unvaccinated to get immunized but there are still some 80 MILLION Americans who have refused, based on lies, and that is a huge pool of people who are fueling both the Delta and Omicron spikes.
It's beyond his power to force all of you to get vaccinated.
You believe instead the cesspool which is right-wing radio and TV, those fanatical voices you believe and trust more than you do Democratic politicians.
They tell you fairy tales, farcical conspiracy theories which are drowning out sane, rational facts,
You are one of them.
I certainly don't blame Biden for an alternative information system based on rabid politics rather than cold, hard science.
I blame you. Look in the mirror if you want to know who is to blame.
And your party is hard at work, as we speak, subverting and destroying American democracy, which will eventually result in an oligarchic theocracy in all but name, the process to start in earnest November 2022, and after 2024 cemented into place. I suppose for you that will be very gratifying.
Tell someone your lies. Luckily most people hear only endure them.

@CourtJester Just to confirm what I already knew, 99.5 is yet another brain-dead conservative propaganda megaphone for the handsomely-paid hacks polluting the airwaves. Of course, there's practically no one, nationwide, on the radio to put the lie to these hate jockeys. And you, like so many gullible, or willfully ignorant, robots don't bother to think for yourselves and question your own self-serving biases, but instead let the waves of newspeak wash over you like a narcotic. You're addicted to corporate doubletalk disguised as populist pandering. It, and you, are pathetic

@Storm1752
Damn. Did you get that from CNN, MSNBC, ABCNews, or Fox?

@CourtJester I got it from a variety of valid, reputable news sources, all of which you and your kind dismiss in favor of wholly disreputable liars like 99.5 Birmingham, which is, like all of AM talk radio, a Republican spin machine.
The sources I believe are independent, and not political hacks disguised as purveyors of useful, impartial, objective news.
I was a journalist for many years and, believe me, I know the difference between political propaganda and news. Republicans, including and especially Trump, have deliberately blurred that difference, and their loyal sheep follow blindly.
Why else do you think they vehemently oppose the reinstitution of the Fairness Doctrine? The answer's obvious.

@CourtJester By the way, you ARE aware, aren't you, Republicans are hard at work in at least 26 states, and as many as 30, rigging the electoral systems in those states to virtually guarantee Republican victories at every level--city, county, state, and federal--and prevent Democrats from ever winning again?
You ARE aware of that, right?

@Storm1752 how so? Because they want voter ID??? That’s “rigging”???
Put down the crack pipe.

@CourtJester Nah, by firing independent, impartial staffers in the state election commissions (and/or all democrats/independents) and replacing them with right-wing ideologues who are then willing and able to manipulate the voting tabulations as needed to achieve the desired results--a Republican victory in the contest in question. And there are other machinations on the administrative and executive level, to go along with the well-known strategies of reducing the polling places in democratic strongholds to as close to zaro as possible, forcing would-be voters to stand in line for many long hours, and gerrymandering House districts to insure those voters have as little representation as possible and still be technically legal.
No, voter ID makes at least superficial sense, but most of the other strategies now being carried out on the 26 states mentioned in particular (a strategy which will then be extended to other states once those 26 are secured and other, "battleground" states can be eventually moved into the 'red' column) are all but invisible to the public eye, but much more insidious, directly invalidating unfavorable (to them) actual votes cast.
It only takes a quick goggle search to got the complete rundown of the steps being taken to insure ironclad, permanent Republican majorities at all levels of government in present 'red' states, and in as many in the future as possible. But even if all 26 now in Republican hands are secured, they will have already accomplished, oh, say 90% of their objective.
So, for all practical purposes, the 'game' is already over, and won.
Congratulations.

Noam Chomsky: Corporate Patents & Rising Anti-Science Rhetoric Will Prolong Pandemic

...Noam Chomsky, the world-renowned political dissident, linguist and author, who just turned 93 years old. Chomsky spoke to Democracy Now! prior to the discovery of the Omicron coronavirus variant, but he predicted new variants would emerge. “If you let the virus run rampant in poor countries, everyone understands that mutation is likely, the kind of mutation that led to the Delta variant, now the Delta Plus variant in India, and who knows what will develop,” Chomsky said.

10 Reasons COVID-19 Isn't Going Away Anytime Soon

From individual failures, like a man wearing a mask over his eyes, to institutional hypocrisy, these are the reasons we in the U.S. are going to be dealing with COVID-19 for a very long time.

Talk of the County: The only reason COVID-19 won’t go away is anti-vaxxers and anti-maskers

Full Article: [chicagotribune.com]

Well-expressed. We can't even vaccinate our OWN population, forget about the world!
The REAL fear is, of course, one of these variants may be 100x worse than anything before it, and reduce the human population by, say, half.
Oh wait, that might actually be a GOOD thing! Mother Nature, Gaia, may have the last laugh...

@Storm1752
Considering that natural immunity can be almost 600% better than a vaccine that suppresses symptoms but increases susceptibility…. I’ve got my fingers crossed too.

@CourtJester "600% better?" That is just ridiculous, you sound like a believer. What is the source of your misinformation?

"COVID-19 can cause severe illness or death, and we can’t reliably predict who will have mild or severe illness. You can also spread COVID-19 to others, including family. And some people continue to have long-term health issues after COVID-19 infection."

"Getting COVID-19 may offer some natural protection, known as immunity. Current evidence suggests that reinfection with the virus that causes COVID-19 is uncommon in the 90 days after initial infection. However, experts don’t know for sure how long this protection lasts, and the risk of severe illness and death from COVID-19 far outweighs any benefits of natural immunity."
