That link can't be found so I'm assuming bbc took it down. People demanded of their Dr that they be given antibiotics for the common cold, which they can't cure, but they take 10 days of dosage and the cold is gone in 7 so people insist antibiotics work. Vicious cycle which is making them less effective (if at all) and therefore dangerous. Humans.

@phxbillcee That one works better. Pretty much as I assumed, though. People are doing the same thing with hand "sanitizer" for COVID (or anything, really) and all it does is dry out the skin. It cracks and can then become infected but people use the shit anyway. It's like using make-up to become pretty but people don't believe what goes against their ego.

We live in a world where countless millions die because business interests trump the common good. Why I say we're not really an intelligent species. Overuse of antibiotics and its consequences were known decades ago. We did nothing.
