@Nickbeee Most chemicals and pesticides are sprayed by aircraft, so you need that organic forage to be far enough away from wind-blown accidents which aren't always possible.

I live by five local rivers, and they have shown that more than a hundred miles out of town, garden hedges growing due to bird droppings and chemicals in the water killing fish, and other animals.

@Nickbeee I am a farmer and have goats, I just have one actual milk breed doe and the rest are Boer meat goats. I use my milk to drink, in soups and cooking, cheese and I make goats milk soap too.

The industry here are just finally turning on to biodynamics slowly and wildflower planting in sympathy with field crops as opposed to pesticides. Both yield the some. The latter is much more productive for micro organisms and insect life.. We have a long way to go everywhere, I have access to good sources.

@misstuffy sounds excellent ... My Aunty breeds Berkshire Black Pigs in Herefordshie and various other creatures and some small scale organic crops.

The animals all goto a really old skool ancient family butchers in a tiny village and it has a calm room .. Really old skool lol. They play em nice music and give them a good meal before bolting .. like madly humane..

Yours sounds amazing !!! I have hear about the soap but never seen it that is super excellent. I love boar meat. Me and friend used to organise parties sometimes in remote locations and a spit roast boar was on at those sometimes. So yummy.

I love goats.. incredible animals !! mad as pancakes I just love em lol. Milk is like super hormone soup isn't it. So many beneficial properties and mild opiate effects lol!

@Nickbeee Thank you, I raise the goats, have a small herd of ponies and I raise bearded Iris as a commercial crop for folks who love flower gardens. When I have time I plant a garden but that isnt every year. England had a breed of cattle I find strikingly beautiful the White Parks.

@misstuffy Okay - it's a pleasure !!! We have some barmy hens over here to haha!! I love rare breeds too.. I really love Shetland ponies .. Mad cute !! Gardens do take a lot of wrk don't they !! I am going to have to look up Bearded Iris .. Think I know White Parks but I'll google them too! Nice one!! I really do think goats are fascinating for some reason
