Christians have enough nonsense without me making it easier for them to lie. As a young man I was taken in by this crap because the adults seemed to believe in it. Why would the adults lie? Since there is no evidence either way it appears they keep up the lie to avoid being gullible. Besides, look at centuries of us all that believed for some reason. Yes!

   If I discuss "show me the air" with a Christian we are next into ideas that we breathe in god every day of our lives. If this is god and he is eternal then we are talking the universe which just might have always existed in some way.
   So much for useless god talk.

Air can be measured, just like gravity, radiation, heat, time, pressure, so on and so forth.

Air, among other things, can be felt. Secondly, allow me to place you in a container w/o air and you will know I don't need to show you "AIR".

My response would be to immidiately stop the conversation at that juncture, and seek conversation with someone who has a minimum of a double digit IQ level.

Show them your middle finger and say, "Behold!"

Unfortunately, from my experiences, most theists are horribly science illiterate. I would say show them this, because air is oxygen.

I don't ask them anything. I just feel sorry for them.

I seldom to never confront others about their beliefs, unless they ask about my own. My wife took our three kids to church every Sunday, granted w/o kids we never went to church. And I never spoke of my beliefs with my kids, and now my son is Christian, but my two daughters like me.

Simple. Air is real. You can feel it, sometimes even see it. It's what we breath! As opposed to god, of which there is no proof it exists. Ask them to show you physical proof of a god. And then ask them, well why don't you believe in the tooth fairy? Its the same nonsense.

We can at least to my knowledge measure air and it’s very applications. Like put a person in a chamber and remove the air then replace it. Also, if they are making a positive claim it’s on them to prove it.

You could be cheeky and ask them if they consider air to be their god ?

Then you can say"Hey, you can hear air too!"

I would say that proves nothing. There is nothing tangentially out there to prove theres a god.

Showing someone air can be done with a tank of liquid nitrogen and liquid oxygen. Requires some awesome cryogenics, but it's doable.
