I just might join if they allow free speech.

What’s the liberal side’s fears of this? Simply curious of the other side’s actual concern.

The liberals want to maintain echo chambers where they repeat false narratives over and over to convince themselves of conspiracies like:

The Russians helped elect Trump in 2016.
Police are racist and kill blacks at higher numbers.
The world is going to turn into a giant fireball once CO2 hits 600ppm.

When you confront these ridiculous lies with facts and easily refute them, the liberals get upset, much in the same way Christians and Muslims get upset when you challenge their ridiculous fairy tales.

Trump Pinata is perfect example of a liberal echo chamber where you will be evicted if you challenge their ridiculous beliefs.

Twitter is the same thing on a larger scale.

The idea the Elon Musk would somehow destroy that little echo chamber and open up the platform for debate is terrifying to liberals.

No one said all police are racist and deliberately kill blacks. More blacks die (and go to jail) because more of them confront police and fail to obey lawful orders. So?
Climate change is real, manmade, and is getting worse.
The Russians at least tried to help Trump, but that's not why he won. Hillary blew it.
Fox News, Newsmax, the Washington Times, and countless other less visible propaganda arms of the Republican Party are NOT echo chambers?
Bitter enemies use whatever weapons they have at their disposal; so it's not surprising liberals are fighting conservatives with everything they've got.
Sadly, it appears the right will win a decisive victory in November, and in so doing deliver a knockout blow to U.S. democracy. Democrats might never have power again, even though they are numerically in the majority.
Elon Musk? Twitter? Who cares?

>>No one said all police are racist and deliberately kill blacks. More blacks die (and go to jail) because more of them confront police and fail to obey lawful orders.

Not true. If you download the data, you will see that about 1 suspect is killed for every 10,000 arrests. That's true for Whites, Blacks, Hispanics, Native Americans, and ASians.

>>Climate change is real, manmade, and is getting worse.

There is not global optimum temperature.
The United States is not a planet. It makes no sense to kill our economy when China and India burn more coal every day.

>>The Russians at least tried to help Trump, but that's not why he won. Hillary blew it.

I don't believe there was any evidence to support that, but it would be impossible to deprogram you after hearing that lie over and over again for 5+ years.

>>Fox News, Newsmax, the Washington Times, and countless other less visible propaganda arms of the Republican Party are NOT echo chambers?

You are correct.

>>Bitter enemies use whatever weapons they have at their disposal; so it's not surprising liberals are fighting conservatives with everything they've got.

You are correct.

Evidently you haven't followed US politics very long. The Republicans swept into office in 1994 and 2010. The same thing will likely happen in 2022. They were not able to hold power for very long in 1994 and 2010. They won't hold power very long after 2022.
