Is there a TRAVEL section and or Group ? I am preparing to early retire and travel the desert mountainous southwest and would like to share experiences and adventures.

My career required that I travel much of my time. I always tried to meet deadlines and not forced to work over time to avoid penalties. It was a great life and I love the west. Every time my company sent me somewhere. I was checking out all the historic and scenic spots. I loved having some extra time to humor my love of learning and visiting places. I had a wonderful time. You seem a nice guy and handsome. You shouldn't have a problem. We are the same way about money. I only every wanted enough to take care of myself and life comfortably. I managed that. I make it.

Ok; I'm a dummy caveman, I freely admit it. But how does one go about starting their own group ? I looked and looked at the Travel groups on this site and did not find a group that suited me. So as a smart and obviously "not a caveman" lady poster suggested; that I create my own Travel Group. I have looked and can not find any information on how to---> create your own group. Someone show me how so that I can prove to the world just how stoopid that I can BE.

Many groups have been started and management is not liking the whole bunch of new groups. I would be looking for changes in their adding groups. I think at Level 4, you can start one. I know a high ranking member was upset along with some of the other members. So you see what it is now. Good luck. Be my friend please. You are interesting.

Go to the natural hot springs in Colorado...Valley View Hot Springs...and the great sand dunes are close by too...Durango and telluride!! yes I love Colorado...moving back there as soon as possible

Hello; I have spent much time in southwestern Colorado. Telluride used to be a fav place but now way too many touristas for my liking. But that area is mind blowingly epic to say the least. I have lost and lots places Intend to travel to and explore.
@EvoQ I love traveling and I love history. My mind has an internal list of places I have seen and places I want to go. When I worked I got to visit many historical places.
I would like Big Bend,Alpine area of Texas.Az. is to many people,and crime

Havasupai is amazing. It is in the Grand Canyon but not part of the National Park area. It is on indigenous land and it has incredible blue waterfalls.

A friend that worked in the canyon as a guide started a group protesting the treatment of the horses at the havasupai tribe. Some of the pictures and personal accounts of the treatment of these horses was horrendous and angering. Lastly her group was able to file a federal level mistreatment to animals case against certain tribe members and I also believe the tribe itself. I have no tolerance for humans that abuse animals, children, the elderly, the challenged, or females. I hope they burn. Sometimes one can wish upon a false religion for at least punishment or "just deserts". Such a surreal landscape the grand canyon but also a tourist trap to the extreme. I often wonder that in say 10 to 25 years into our future where one would have to sign up 5 to more years in advance just to able to get through the gate at the front entrance to our national parks. With this latest politco bunch wanting to lessen our wild spaces even more. Maybe that asteroid will come by before we suicide by greed and vanity.
There might be a group, and if not you could always start one.
