So, yesterday, I mentioned Buffalo shooting. It was on the news in the UK, and we normally hear about only major tragedies like this one and are not aware of other less significant ones that happen in America. And thanks to those who contributed their insights and experiences. I was shocked to learn how often mass-shootings happen in America - apparently six over the weekend that's just gone. Six! Jeez!
Brits don't have so called 'gun culture'. We have no obsession with gun ownership. Ordinary citizens don't feel vulnerable or naked without guns when they go out. The idea of popping in a store to buy a gun or ordering a burger at McDonald's while carrying a semiautomatic rifle on the back is beyond our imagination.
We have very strict gun control laws which became even tighter after Dunblane massacre in 1996. It shook the entire nation and the politicians from all sides agreed that gun laws needed to be stricter.

Also, here is a message from Dunblane survivors, to Florida after school shooting as of 2018 but the message applies to every country and region where they suffer so many tragedies so often involving guns.
Stricter laws, better education... I don't know what is the best solution for everybody, but whatever can bring down the number of shooting incidents, that can only be a good thing.

Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.I'm an American but raised and educated in Canada. As a result, many of my views are not mainstream American and here's one. Many Americans have an unnatural attachment to their guns. I've not seen this in any other country.
The truth is that average people don't need guns. Police and military need guns, but the police need more extensive training with their guns so they will stop killing so many people. I would not own a gun and my home is a gun free zone. When I can acquire guns and leg hold traps cheaply, I destroy them.
I've been back in the US for 16 years now and I don't believe I've met a single American who agrees with my view on guns. Mostly they want stricter gun control and that is probably the best we are going to do.

Other countries don't have a Constitution that has a Second Amendment granting the right to own firearms. Accordingly other countries can pass harsh gun ownership laws, whereas we cannot.

@Ryo1 I don't think you are familiar with the steps necessary to amend our Constitution. ALL of the below needs to take place to amend our Constitution:
- 66% of both the House of Representatives and the Senate must pass the bill to amend
- the President must sign the Bill
- 66% of the 50 States must individually approve the amendment.
Since neither Political party controls anywhere 66% of The House, or Senate, and neither Party controls anywhere near 66% of individual State Legislatures it is impossible to amend our Constitution any time in the near future.
It really is a cultural thing and over my lifetime it's been headed strongly in the wrong direction.
When I was a small child in northern AZ in the mid 60s, guns were common and I asked my south FL grandmother for a toy gun one Christmas. She searched the Miami area for days before she finally found one. It just wasn't an item south FL people had in their lives at the time.
I haven't gone shopping there in many years but I doubt she'd have trouble finding one today. American attitudes have slid down the rat(shit?)hole in the last 50 years.

I think most male persons in America have penis sizes about the same size as their ancestors.
However, many American men do feel their penis size is insufficient, even if it a normal size.
I think religion makes people in general feel insecure about a lot of things, which is why Americans are more likely to think their penis is too small, than men form other countries. Gun culture has a major overlap with religion in America.
FYI, I distaste guns so your theory about small penises holds water?!
