Another quick phone call from Jessica, long suffering mother of Evangeloon.
"Because I'm not allowed to contact him can you him next door if he would lower the costs and prices on his quote for repairing my wood-heater because the nights are getting colder and I really need it working to keep me warm?"
As soon as I heard that I thought myself, she has gone soft on him already, here it comes the begging and pleading to retract the Court Order.
Nope. couldn't have been more wrong even if I tried, what I heard next darn near shocked me.
"You might be glad to know that the entire family, myself included have taken out similar Restraining Orders on him as well and as of Monday, which we all were told is the earliest it can be done, we are all having our phone numbers changed to Unlisted and silent numbers so he will not able to contact us either, thank you for awakening us and getting us to realize what waste of time, effort and space he really is, I do hope that we can remain in contact as friends though."
My reply was, "Yes we can always remain as friends, no problems there, BUT as to HIM, he has cross too many bridges with his attitude, etc, towards me and there is no return as far as I am concerned."
So, it kind of looks like a case of get rid of one pest and gain a few extra new friends instead.

But Wait, how can he fix her heater if there is a restraining order in place? This makes No Sense at all........

Psst, I was re-quoting what he said to his mother.

Whether family, friends, neighbours, or acquaintances.....nobody needs that toxic bs.

Holy smokes batman!!! Wow! You should have invited her to the celebration. When you win, you win. 🤗

Good idea but she and the rest of her family live almost 700 kilometres away from me.

@Triphid That's a shame. It would have been nice though. 🙂

Wow! Just wow!

Amazing, that's how I feel too. Wow!

P.S. I have just looked at the average temperature chart for Broken Hill. July is coldest at +4C, which is two month ahead. I can see him going off his rocker between now and then. My guess is that he may well completely lose his ability for self-care at which point he will need to be sectioned.

While it is easy to mock the ridiculous and the absurd, I have a sense that this has now become potentially dangerous for his physical health and well-being; he is already a lost cause as regards his psychological health and well-being as far as I am concerned.

@anglophone I hope you forgive me. +4C is mild for the winter here when we often get -20'sC.

I have a feeling that Triphid will call in the professionals if Mr. Payne still has no heat at that time. We all want him to feel the consequences of his actions and behaviour but none of us are cruel. I have full confidence that Triphid will monitor the chimney for signs of smoke and if/when the time comes he will take action. 🙂

@anglophone Don't know from whom or from where you got the info of a winter time temp of +4 Celsius but I can tell you that the overnight temps here during late June to late July can and have gotten as low as - 4 and occasional even lower in around the town itself but in the Railway yards where we used measure the temps each winters night shift we recorded temps ranging from -5 to -10 on a regular basis,
Of course, the B.o.M. refused to acknowledge our readings as, in their words, " you are certified and qualified Meteorologists and your equipment may not meet our Standards also.
Funny thing that because OUR equipment was the Bureau Approved Equipment that was moved from the no longer manned Kaleentha Loop Signal Box and actually checked, tested and fitted in place by the B. o. M. themselves in December 1983.

@Triphid That was an average figure. I did not bother to look at the range. -10 does not surprise me in the slightest.

@Betty As to me " monitoring" his chimney, etc, etc, not a snowball's chance in Hell that happening though, IF I should happen to see excessive and wisps of flame coming from the house itself then I would call the Firies MAINLY to ensure that ALL surrounding house were getting their protection.

@Triphid Chances are he will take off for the winter. You did mention that he has a habit of running away from his problems and we all know he has plenty of problems.

@Betty @Triphid Should we suggest to the Evangeloon that he goes to North Sentinel Island? [npr.org]

@anglophone Everyone who has tried to go there has put their lives at risk of death. Evangeloon is too much of a coward to entertain the idea. Yet the way he has been described he might think his Jesus would protect him and he would accomplish something that others had failed at.

It's a moot point anyways since we have no way to suggest it to him.

@anglophone P. S. Now you've put a visual in my head. Evangeloon running for his life as the natives chase him with a spear and him screaming for Jesus to save him.

You an evil man anglophone, don't do that to me. 🤣🤣🤣
