Well, I have been diagnosed with brain tumor, so now have to have more tests, but besides that life is good.
I have a neighbor who told me she had a brain tumor. However, it is not malignant. Every few years it starts to grow and she gets some meds to reduce it's size and she's good for several more years. She's 92 and doing great. So perhaps there is hope.
Truly sorry, friend ... collect info about it from reputable medical literature & doctors & make notes. Compare different explanations & question them. Take special care of physical & mental health with good food, exercise, sleep, socializing. Be gentle & loving toward oneself to heal.
Get a second & third opinion regardless....good doctors with up-to-date ideas are as rare as good hairdressers or plumbers!!!!!!!
Anne, you are so right. Many doctors get stuck doing things the old way they were taught, whereas the newer doctors can provide more up to date techniques for management of the condition. I wish someone had told me that when I had cancer 10 years ago. I would have done things differently.
Ouch. Please keep the rest of us posted - thanks.
