Adventurous yesterday after work I put on my detective hat and tried to find a gf of mine from a long time ago. I came up with her info quickly and called her. Recall that I married into the same family twice and she was part of that family. We dated long ago but each married someone else.

She came up with my name quickly but admitted her phone showed my last name and she knew it had to be me. We updated info over the years and I learned she is in love with 3 men -- her dead husband, Trump, and Jesus. She met Jesus at her Assemblies of God church but I feel that she gets him and Trump confused. I allowed her to tell me the evils of Biden, putting her Revelation and church spin on everything and making up a religious history of what we are all going through now. I will not repeat it here but you can imagine her words and beliefs easily. She is so surprised that I do not see this.

I told her I am a Progressive but I know everything going on right now is about money. By any means possible they all want our money. I told her my view as a Progressive is that we should have equal rights and equal privilege but hate mongers see profit in lies. Her immediate response is that Biden can't be running everything. Somebody else is. My response is that our presidents are only the top sales officer for us. Then I told her of how her boyfriend Trump wanted $1400 each for us in a stimulus but we only got $600. That was my proof that trump was not all powerful either. She did not like that and most likely does not remember that first stimulus. Many do not and they cannot see Trump doing this. Like her, they all believe Trump was strong and put there by god. Russia and the rest of the world are afraid of him. We have little time left.

I learned a lot in the 40 minutes we talked and I never once mentioned I am now atheist. She finally made up an excuse to get off the phone and I got the impression she was then going to go pray to Donald. Her prayer might include me and she will ask why is it that I cannot see things as she does. Oh, dear Jebus bring him back into the fold.

I've printed this so that a few of you might understand what we are up against with the very gullible right wing religious zealot. I suppose this is what works for her.
