I can only hope it's the beginning of the end for Trump's political future.

They talk about political damage, but are their heads that far up their arses? Watching the news and late shows that go out to talk to the MAGA-heads, they are doubling down on Trump. They are so deep in the lie that they believe it is all a witch hunt or some other dog and pony show to try to tarnish an otherwise good man (some people say the best president ever). It is a bubble for some of the news outlets that don't look deeper than the beltway.

I sure hope he doesn't die so we can see him be arrested and spend at least a few years in Sing-Sing.

With #3 it's all about his ego.
