The God believers I know are tolerant not hateful, civil minded not close minded and scientifically minded rather than ideologues. However, I am sure those kinds of people are out there somewhere.

Let me translate "fellow primates." Hitch simply meant other human beings. One would either believe this or assume that the man raised monkeys.
