I'm watching Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. I've never seen it before. This is garbage. The acting is so horrible.

I remember watching the original over and over again. A big production value of an engaging musical score ended with the original. Why? (Just fucking cheapskates I assume)

Yes, some trekkies love it, but I passed on it, except for an episode or two with Q.
For me, Star Trek is trekking through space, not sitting on a space station and waiting for aliens to turn up.
I agree with you, and it was a soapy show in my view.
