I see that our Australian friends are in winter now and it appears their Covid is ramping up again. This is likely to happen anywhere that we have colder weather. Many still deny it. In my area we have new Covid cases already. I found out that my Walmart friend, Robin, was out of work 2 weeks due to Covid. She lives in a town about 20 miles away from me. This makes me wonder what will happen here this winter? Maybe I do need that booster. Time to break out the mask again. As a general rule I do not allow others to be closer to me than 4 feet. This is because of your coughs, flying phlem, and drooling.

Definitely get that booster, unless you can wait until an improved booster becomes available this fall in the U.S. targeting the newer variants.

Seems that people returning from overseas trips seem to be coming down with covid upon returning home. Travelers are telling me that very few people on the planes and in the airports are wearing masks, so not many travelers protecting others.

The recently arrived visitors here do not seem to wear masks when shopping in tiny stores, however the residents do. Masks protect others -- not so much yourself -- so it's a courtesy if we all wear masks indoors to protect others. I try to only meet people outdoors and I still keep a distance. I glare at people crowding me, haha!

Even during a heat wave, people are huddled together in small air conditioned spaces, which can be risky.

I never stopped wearing a mask in shopping centres and alike. I thought people's 'well it's over' attitude a while back was premature. I notice many more people are wearing masks again, though. I'm having a 4th jab on Tuesday, hoping I won't have a reaction. I've been OK with past jabs. My prediction 2 years ago that this thing, natural or man made ( like we'll ever know the truth), would keep coming back and back and mutate has sadly come true. I keep away from small places with people as much as possible. It's tiresome, but there it is.

Like most virus it has mutated and I'm going to have to get myself used to wearing a mask again. Recently I was attacked in social media by some silly soul that told me a vaccine was not an immunization. Apparently she thought an immunization made a person immune. Only on TV. In reality our bodies have to build up an immunity to one degree or another and this occurs in time after we get a jab of a vaccine.
