It has not stopped, it has evolved, it uses modern financial, democratic means. The US is doing more than any country around the world.

I am sure Democrats are toast in Nov 2022 and Nov 2024.

@St-Sinner You may very well be right, and since they're busy rigging elections wherever they hold power, their majorities in Congress, the Supreme Court, and their lock on the presidency, figure to be permanent. So a theocracy, maybe melded to an oligarchy, a theoligarchy if you will, may be the New Normal!
I don't mind Republicans being freely elected if that's what people really want, but if a fanatical minority siezes power and refuses to give it up, that's the end of democracy American-style.
Republicans aren't a lock. Right now unemployment is low and investment is high as EVERYBODY has given up on containing Covid. Sleepy Joe may stumble his way into a second term, after all. But I agree it looks bleak

I am not sure about rigging elections but I have been suspecting Senator Bob Casey moving many levers at local levels in PA. I watched him on TV declaring before election results and when Trump was ahead in PA that Biden was going to win a massive mandate in PA. How so? How so confident about a statewide results and even before voting percentage are reported? Everybody called the state a toss-up and all knew that it is the steel industry heartland. But all happened exactly what he said. As the counting went on, slowly Trump's lead evaporated. However I admired Democrats' guts and fighting spirit to clinch the victory. They hardly do that. I have been wanting them to show fire which I have not been seeing for very long. They remind me of timid whose lunch is stolen by the bullies in school.

As for Novs 2022 and 2024, Democrats will serve victory on a silver platter just like Hillary did for Trump in 2016.

@St-Sinner No, elections in the 26 states they hold the legislature and governorships will be, for all intents and purposes, guaranteed Republican victories at the local, state, and federal level.
