It's that time: I have to think about buying a new bathing suit. Big trauma. I know it is still the same size, but my taste has changed and also my idea for decorum. And all of a sudden , I feel the need to match the bathing suit to the tattoos.
Ah, the drama! Maybe I'll just join the naturist club and get another tattoo.

The spiraling evolution of bathing suits for women will probably end up with a cork and two bottle tops.

I really need a new suit this year as well. I've lost a lot of weight, which is great. So my old one doesn't fit. But I'm not digging the way my body looks. So meh.

And there is always the coverup, in my case a beloved Keith Richards t-shirt. I haver seen some really cool beach coverups. Also good for preventing sunburns. Congratulations on losing a lot of weight.

Lost some weight and bought a swimsuit last fall on clearance. Looking forward to wearing it.

I just bought two new bathing suits, thinking I'd return the one I disliked. Ends up I loved 'em both! My ankle tattoo always shows, but my suit covers my other two, most times.

Maybe a bikini or one piece tattoo

I am for the tattoo.
Won't solve my problem though.
My daughter is getting married next year. We were discussing it yesterday and it is surprisingly formal. Maybe not by the standard of others but by ours it is. My daughter has very many tattoos and her fiance is a body piercer by trade but works in retail electronics at present. My daughter will be wearing a suit for the wedding as will all the males in the wedding party, they are doing the whole bridesmaid and groomsmen thing. Silly me asked, do I have to wear a suit also? Yep. shoot, so I have 15 months to lose 50 kilos then get a suit. Despite my additional weight, a naked wedding would be less stressful. Also we would be able to see what tatts everyone has, not to mention body piercings. Ha, my ex would drop dead.
I know climate is different, but about 6 months ago I bought a friend a sun suit, it is amazing, neck to knee, stunning cosmic art on it, and amazingly sexy/ I am not joking. It does hide her tattoos though. This is a lady who normally wears the skimpiest bikinis.

That sounds exciting! A sunsuit.

I was going to suggest to become a naturist...but you already did.

I quickly adapted to the conservative Thai style when I went to the beach here in Thailand..they only swim in the mornings and afternoons, and wear long pants and long-sleeves shirts. I soon found out why, when I tried it..no more sunburns, jellyfish stings, or sand burns when thrown up on the beach by waves.

I now wear surfing clothing and prefer it. I now look with horror at the tourists at tourist places who seem to want to show as much skin as possible in the dangerous sun and ocean. It's like they are trying to get sunburns and skin cancer, not to mention horrifying the conservative locals, and often resembling great white beached whales.

the best suggestion is the nudist group...save money, no tan lines, and the tattoo will have a more appreciative audience.

Go for it

Something tasteful of course.
