Still it's a great fruit and the sap of the branches is milky and sticky and makes for a great bandage. It was and is used in numerous countries as such. Also, in Iran, the branches are used for kebab in they impart a distinctive flavor to the meat.

I enjoy figs. I knew this before the internet and enjoyed telling people about how they are eating dead wasps in their Fig Newtons.

I am happy to say I never ever liked Fig Newtons...or Oreos, either
@AnneWimsey Oreos are terrible and they stopped making the far better Hydrox.
