Back in 80s I had several bouts of the flu. One time I was so sick, I thought I was gonna die. My live in girlfriend at the time was so scared she actually called my parents, my dad came over and got me. I found myself in my old bedroom. My family doctor came over, they did housecalls back then, and was going to have me admitted. I got better, missed almost 2 weeks of work. I got pretty sick a couple other times as well, not as bad as in '83. 13 years later, 1996, I had my 1st flu shot. I've gotten it every year since then and I haven't gotten the flu once. Flu shots are available now in CVS and other stores. Most insurance will pay starting Sept 1st. Go get your flu shot.

Yeah it's crazy not to get the flu shot, especially for older folks. We are so focused on COVID we sometimes forget how many people die from the seasonal flu.

I had never gotten a flu shot before I got a very nasty flu that left me with permanent eustachian tube dysfunction in 2002. In 2003 I got the shot and have not had the flu again.

I have had the two-shot COVID-19 vaccine plus two booster shots. I have not suffered any serious side effects from the vaccines. I have not had COVID-19 while millions of unvaccinated Americans have gotten seriously ill, and over a million died from COVID-19.
