Just signed up on Atheistuniverse.net...Same name...format SUCKS...hope they fix it...not to mention the four photos I uploaded all came out oriented wrong....Arghhh.

Me too, particularly the part about until the lights go out. It's nice to see some familiar faces (familiar avatars?) there already. I'm Night Garden there.

I'm still figuring out the layout. It's really hard for me to read. The whole site has print that's so freakin' tiny.

@KKGator Yeah, it's a bit challenging for me to look at, particularly after how logical and streamlined this one is, but I'm hoping it gets easier with time.

When I went there, it seemed so busy and looked difficult to navigate.

@glennlab Yeah, it's very busy, which makes it difficult for me to concentrate. I haven't spent enough time there to figure out a lot, but I think Rhonda has so I may look to her for guidance.

I'm working on joining, suppose to get and e-mail as to acceptance.

@silverotter11 Cool! 🙂 I don't think the site administrators are in North America, so their time online may be different than ours, but it didn't take long to get mine.

@Lauren I'm not liking it at all. It's giving me a freakin' headache.
Not sure how long I'll be staying.

Oh my gosh, this is the first I’m hearing this site is going away. I’m so sad!

Nothing has been confirmed yet.
However, given that Admin has been absent for quite some time, it wouldn't surprise me if one day I went to login and got a " page unavailable" message.

Oh! I like the format here and I would be sad to see this particular site go. I will keep the site you mentioned in mind, if I need an outlet at some other time in my life. As it is, I spend a fair amount of my time here, just reading what people have contributed. I hope we get some notice in the event this site goes away. I'd like to go through and try to recall some of the though provoking posts by people and maybe save some inspirational comments.

Interesting, that is the first of the alternatives to this site, that I have viewed which comes anywhere near to this. Most of the others, seem to be single issue echo chambers with no depth and poor cluttered page design.

I agree, and I've been casually seeking alternatives for a couple of years now.

I just joined too, but I didn't get a chance to choose a pseudonym.

Seems that you can just change your name for anything you like in your profile, when you are up and running. It worked for me anyway.

@BitFlipper My request to join that FB page was declined. I couldn't access the feedback, either, so IDK what's wrong. Maybe they saw that I work at a church. I'm a musician, and I have to pay the bills playing there and many other places. That doesn't mean I am religious. That's pretty common, actually, among keyboard players .
