IRONY American style:
America is the only country that I know of that spends half of its time praising itself for the freedom it affords it's citizens, and the other half of its time criticizing it's citizens for exercising their freedom.

According to the Human Freedom Index, which "presents the state of human freedom in the world based on a broad measure that encompasses personal, civil, and economic freedom," America is the 23rd freest country in the world.
US being number one in prisons, war and Angels. Over security kinda hurts their freedom.

Hume's index is outdated. There are to many variables today than when that was written. In twenty years the middle class will be extinct.
Well, not quite that cut-and-dried, but some truth to your post. However, the possessive form of IT is ALWAYS its, never it's.

Unless "it's" means "it is", then there is no apostrophe. I don't understand why people don't understand this 
"It's" does NOT mean "of it".Enjoy being online again!
