I think it has to do with the lockdown, people not getting proper medical care for a year, people getting fat, some cases of Long Covid may make it difficult for people to survive illnesses. Of course the lunatic fringe and the antivaxxers will say all those people died because they received SARS-CoV-2 vaccines.

People are tired of the pandemic, but the pandemic isn't done yet. I still wear a mask when I'm out and about.

I spend little time with a mask, but then I spend little time with others out and about. I spend a lot of time with a mask and in a hospital and or clinic.
