Just dumped a long-time friend as she had increasing moments of being abusive...over just the dumbest stuff. Could be early sins of dementia of course, but I voted for my happiness by removing myself....even gently suggesting seeing someone would have meant a Very bad reaction.

Strangely enough it seems to take a very long time for people to come to this realisation, especially when it means no longer allowing certain family members in your life.
