He will have no further source of money great enough to sustain ambitions. Legal battles could proceed with much greater speed and punishment as his popularity further erodes over neglect of flock. The scarlet L can be placed on his shaven forehead for all to laugh at and mock. Wouldn't that be the best punishment? I think so.
