Celebrating my 5 yr anniversary when I joined this site back in 2017. It was been my go-to safe place for fun, education, therapy, finding my sanity, and just all around connecting with like minded folks. So much has changed here since I joined. Back then, there were only like 300 of us on here at the time. Some of us token seniors who have been here awhile, know this site has gown in leaps and bounds over the past few years.
With all the turmoil, chaos, and bat shit crazies out in the world today, this site gives us a chance to feel free to speak out and not buy into the dogma, bullshit and cults that has inundated social media and many platforms on the Internet.
Cheers to all heathens here that are free from the bonds of cults and dogma.
This meme really gets it. One of the very first things I would want to know about a significant other is whether they believe in gods or not. If they are unsure and the relationship goes off by just a little some church and minister may be telling them all kinds of bullshit.
Happy anniversary.
Seems you beat me by one day. I joined Oct. 12, 2017. Don't even want to think how much time I've been pasted to this site. I still remember some of the original members who have since left. Especially memorable was VictoriaNotes. She always had a lot of great information.
My date was the 9th but I remember Silvereyes I think she went by.. her and I were the top 2 for posts back then.. She got bullied off here by some assholes and never heard from her since.. kind of sad.
@mistymoon77 Sorry to hear people leave because of bullying. I wonder what it says about those of us who continue to hang on so long (like we need to get a real life)?
I remember her. It's so easy to block, ignore or post a laugh emoji. I do remember some guy from Oklahoma who liked to bully people. He was a big trumper.
There are still some vociferous censorious members who toe their political party line or national jingoism & lifetime of indoctrination in belief that Mammon & exploitation of the individual are the true ideals to aspire (though perspire may be more apt!) to.
Have a fulfilling anniversary. You just made me look up my own - I'm still a newcomer & will have to wait til January.
It's about five years for me, too (don't remember the exact date). Happy Anniversary!
Happy anniversary! It was my 5-year anniversary yesterday and I'm still a bit surprised that it's been this long, but I also can't imagine not having it as my go-to safe place from (most of) the crazies and craziness. It's almost hard to remember life without it, and I hope I don't have to. Cheers to us heathens!
