@Spinliesel My daughter just moved to the Netherlands, partly to get out of the suburban sprawl that is America. She rides a bicycle 5 minutes to a train station, then the train for 30, and walks two blocks to work. She says she will never own a car again. She has a doctor's office on her street, and two grocery stores within walking distance.
