WOW! The thing with Jewish genes is they literally can be found in the oddest places. On my Dad's side a first cousin did the DNA thing to find out something about his back story. My Dad's mom (our grandmother) was an orphan, her records and such were destroyed in a fire. She did not know exactly how old she was or her exact birthday. Plus she was VERY Catholic, in fact my Dad being the yougest had been designated to be a priest, such is the custom in a very Catholic family. It did not work out and Dad was atheist most of his life.
My cousin's results showed some Jewish genes. For me, my mom's side is most English and German. I met a Syrian woman years ago and she admitted to disliking me from jump because she thought I "looked" Jewish.
When I was in my teens and was working for an Italian family owned pizza joint in NJ people thought I was one of the owners daughters.
I think mostly because I had dark hair and a big nose.
The rich can be such snobs! But ignorant people everywhere are truly the worst.
