Do you ever wonder what the church does with the money they collected?
To think all of this was started by a lazy farm boy trying to sell horses with false teeth. I was raised as Mormon, and started questioning it when I was a kid.
There was (is?) a song called Do As I'm Doing. Basically, all the kids lined up and mimicked the leader. The person in charge of us always dreaded when it was my turn to lead because I always lead my associates right out the back door to the orchard next door. Needless to say, we stopped singing that song not long after...
WOW■ Takes guts to break
a story like that. I admire too the statement of motivation at the end
"an example to my children" ; Mega churches tarnish the idea of charity ,especially when they require capitulation to their faith precepts to receive charity.
Thanks.
