I would rather listen to scientists who are doing something practical and innovative to tackle global warming than listening to scientists who are keen to tell me how the world is going to end due to global warming.

Every 125,000 years, for the last 2,000,000+ lots of the ice has melted.
130,000 years ago the sea level was 30 feet higher than now.

HUMANS DID NOT DO THIS..... HUMANS CAN NOT STOP IT.....

Every attempt to do so just fucks our preparation..... Stop believing the tyrants... They only want power and will use whatever they think 'we' will believe.

I think climate change deniers are bonkers, to be honest. It has always changed, but not on its own. It is part of nature and nature is responsive as well as spontaneous. We may not be 100% responsible for the current global warming but our modern wasteful lifestyle is certanily one of the major factors that are destroyng the natural environment.

You cannot separate the two groups of scientists…they are one and the same. Even with the dire doomsday warnings from the scientific community the majority of us haven’t been seriously interested in driving forward new energy innovations, preferring the status quo of fossil fuel consumption to changing our habits and seeking green solutions by investing in new technologies such as solar or wind energy. We know this is true because these greener technologies have been known about and resisted by governments and the general public for decades. The resistance has been orchestrated by the lobbyists and paid stooges of the Oil, Gas & Coal industries, and they’ve been very successful at climate change denial. It’s only now that the urgency of the situation is glaringly obvious to all of us that climate change is destroying the planet and that if we don’t act with some degree of urgency the planet will soon be unable to sustain life as we know it. That what the scientists have been telling us has been true, and they weren’t just scaremongering is now dawning on all but the most deluded climate denier. Now we’re interested in listening to and accepting solutions, some of which have been known about since at least the 1970s, it’s just that we didn’t want to listen or to invest in them at that time.

Perhaps, I didn't make myself clear. You cannot divide scientists into two groups but you can choose which scientist you want to listen to more.
Recently, I came across a person who is absolutely convinced that the world is doomed and is going to end in 10 years time. And this is the same person who tells me to 'listen to the science'. Many people 'listen to the science' only to confirm that their belief is right. They sound as bad as religious followers to me.
Even if I agreed that their belief is correct and it is scientifically backed up, I still wouldn't let the world end without fighting climate change, if the science I listen to tells me that there is a way.

Unfortunetly people don't listen to predictions especially when they are shown to be a part of the problem. However, the more that are affected by CC the more that will realize it's real. Slowly the word will get around and those scientist that have proof positive that it has happened to an increasing number of others and will happen, more and more to everyone perhaps the more that will wake up (but don't hold your breath).
I have seen (and I'm sure you have to) that people are lazy. They don't want to actually do something and would rather just take a pill and keep on going as they are. The idea of 'if it ain't broke don't fix it' attitude is rampant and, sadly, most have no idea of the idea of being proactive.

I agree, and that's been the problem, no shortage of those complaining about that issue but not enough of those actually trying to innovate and make a direct difference.

You have the Christians and totalitarian Satanists who are adamant that god will return and set the world right. The second coming. (did he come the first time?)
The politicians who serve what ever master pays the most. They know which side of the bread their butter is on.
What we need is people who genuinely care for our civilisation and work towards preserving it

@Kurtn Indeed we do, and I've yet to see one politician nowadays who genuinely and fully cares about civilization, let alone strive to preserve it.
