If you were to choose, would you be happier married or single?

I found out I create my own happiness. So, single always seems to work out better for me. I date and stuff but intimately I seem better off single. I've married twice and both ended in divorce. I was part of the problem I admit, but not all of it. Some just weren't meant to be married.

I'm adaptable. If I went my whole life without anyone I wouldn't really be sad for it. I've been in a relationship, and wasn't necessarily happier on the whole. Some things were better, some worse. On the whole just different.

I absolutely enjoy being in a relationship with the right person. Otherwise being single brings far less misery. The status of that relationship doesn't matter so much as long as it's one that involves singular commitment aside from themselves.

Married, or at least in a permanent relationship with a loving and compatible significant other.

I'm rather enjoying single.

I am happier with a family. If that means "husband" - good. If it means "kids" - good. Single doesn't do it for me.

I have been happily single. I have been unhappily single. I have been happily married. I have been unhappily married. I have been happily and unhappily in pretty much every part of my life.

My mother once told me that we were both 'marrying sorts, ' and she was correct.

Let me find out what my wife wants me to think.

For me, it's married. But I'm an old fart. And divorced. I've just always liked to have someone to share with, someone readily available, to say "Hey! Look at that!" or "Wow, wasn't that great?" or "Man, that sucks!" Or someone to talk to about what I've been thinking about, and help me to clarify it. All that stuff. A companion. I had one for 30-odd years, and would like to have one now.

Depends on the partner.
Each has its benefits.
