I want to talk with various ancestors about that. They aren’t available.

Jim, I typed and deleted two lines before I typed and submitted this. If you found those lines, where did you find them?

Everyone deserves to be alive, but they either have to learn how to survive or depend on the kindness of others. There are a lot of people who don't choose to make their own living as adults and prefer to simply live off the kindness of others perpetually. They can do that, but there is a giving up of ones self esteem that many of us are not willing to go without.

This kind of thought is why i Love this site!! TYFP!

I found my four-letter code but quickly forgot it.

Not sure anyone “deserves” to be alive, in the existential sense. The question then becomes: Does one earn survival?

We call those who address that question Politicians. Making folks think they have to earn it but covering needs so death rates don't rise among workers. A desperately poor, but stable, citizen is often still obedient.

@rainmanjr You have a point, but I wasn’t thinking on a public policy level, but on a more fundamental one. If you’re on your own, you need skills, smarts and strengths. If you are living in a “society,” even a small one, you need to have something to offer the group.
