It’s basically screening and training issues.

Police work seems to bring out the worst possible behavior in some people. Their families suffer...their marriages suffer....psychologically, they suffer. It seems they need much more/better screening before hiring these people.

In 1971 an experiment was conducted and show how positions of authority can become corrupted.

@Betty A classic experiment, yes? I've known several cops socially and they've all struggled with keeping a positive view of the public, since they constantly see the worst human behavior.

Looked like the asshole who shows up and kicks the boy in his head while pinned to the ground. Apparently he wriggled, as people do when held down, and that caused fear on the part of this new arrival to the scene. The other so-called "cops" seem to merely accept the kick and then join in.

The whole vetting process in law enforcement needs to be upgraded adding in a psych-evaluations and weeding out applicants that have violent tendencies and those with anger management issues. In my opinion that would be a start in reforming law enforcement.

Police departments all over the US are filled with homicidal MAGAts now. I don't know what the solution is, but a Band Aid won't cure it. Thorough investigations of every cop in every department, and rooting out the ones with KKK and MAGA associations would be a good start. But we all know that won't happen.
