Senator Fetterman checks himself into Walter Reed for clinical depression. This poor man has been through a lot. I sure hope he gets the help he needs.

His health has made national news by being up front and honest about health challenges, unlike many politicians who might hide these concerns. I feel it's a step out of the darkness for many others who suffer from clinical depression or even occasional depression. I believe the more people who openly admit to this personal challenge, the more awareness and attention regarding mental health issues, then the more people might feel more confident in seeking help themselves. I feel he's very courageous in opening up with honesty about his personal health concerns.

A depressed Senator can still vote.

It’s very common for people with major medical issues to become depressed. So there’s no surprise here. He did the right thing. I hope he gets all the help he deserves. He’s a great person.

This is very bad. I fear he may have to step down. I hope not.

I hope not too, but I also know depression is very common after a major health event. I hope he responds to treatment.

@Organist1 He's being an open book. Her didn't have to. Even though he's a public figure, he had HIPAA rights as much as anyone else. Piece of shit Republicans are already jumping all over this.

As someone with treatment resistant depression, I feel for him.
