We've all heard that Hitler wanted to be an artist. This Wikipedia article has a gallery of his paintings. They are much better than I expected them to be.

Churchill however is not technically perfect, but then he never claimed to be anything but a part time for fun dabbler. Granddad's paintings yes, but would you rather hang a happy granddad painting, or a serious study in technical gloom ?

He had very good technical skills, but his art had no life or soul. How would it have changed history had he become an artist and didn't get into politics? Who knows.

Dietrich Eckart would have found some other maniac to be the fulfilment of his fake Teutonic messiah prophesies.

IMO, nothing he did should be admired for any reason.

I hate to admit that I think they are too. He's always described as being a "failed artist".
