With the working class viewed as a politically backward force, identity groups have provided a new focus for the social-justice left. Woke activists might pose as speaking for the downtrodden, but they only reflect the outlook and concerns of the intellectual elite.
Today's left is frustrated with the working class and this led it to retreat into universities for refuge. Disillusioned activists found it far easier to persuade middle-class students and university lecturers of their cause than to fight against corporations. Yes, it is far more easier to argue that womanhood is a social construct than to engage with women who work as cleaners or carers.

Interesting theory. Students are easier to persuade than working poor (especially women who more readily believe religious doctrines and men, wanting to connect with them for biologic procreation, take up their beliefs) so that is plausible. 1960's idealism didn't work but ideals don't die (nor should such beautiful ideals) simply because they are rejected. Witness Occupy. This is what they did. But I believe in equality, not Feminism, so women should be fully equal beneficiaries of our constitution and society.

The reason you don't respond to the comments made on your posts is because you can't support your own arguments. You say you are a librarian but your posts don't include facts or evidence. Not a single sentence in your post is true and you can't prove that they are. Do you have anything of value to contribute or are you just a perpetual malcontent?

Well there could be reasonable discussion had on how close Derrick Bell’s “interest convergence” tracks historical reality of civil rights, if Michelle Alexander was too broad in her definition of incarceration, or if Crenshaw’s intersectionality has gone too far. I thought this a reasonable talk:

As for woke there’s:

@Scott321 Are you providing evidence to support his argument?

@LovinLarge

No though one could seek clarity through distinctions or be critically minded without going all anti-woke.

@Scott321 I'm always in favor of critical analysis, provided the information being analyzed is factual. This post is purely biased conjecture with no factual basis or supporting evidence. I'm not going to acknowledge a fallacy with a rebuttal. If you want to go ahead, but please address it to him. He is trying to cause dissention, please don't assist him.
